I was born in 1976.

I got my degree in 2000 with a thesis in banking at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.

From 2002 I am attending the Ph.D programme in Banking and Financial management at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.

From February 2001 I have been working in the Research and Development Team of Experian-Scorex, consulting company specialized in credit risk management. In this firm I have had the chance of using all my theoric knowledge about credit risk to solve real clients’ problems, acquiring, in this way, a lot of practical experience that really helped me to understand better all problems linked to credit risk management. I have been involved in a lot of credit risk management projects both with Italian and foreign Clients.

From November 2002 I have been attending the Ph.D programme in Banking and Financial management at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, managed by Professor Franco Tutino and Professor Paola Leone. During the first year I attended three modules, each one consisting of four mastering courses, with lessons had in class by university Professors. Then, for each subject I had to write a paper. During this second year I will focus on the subjects that I am more interested about and between these I will choose the argument of my Ph.D thesis. Obviously my attention is mainly addressed to risk management.

My interest for Risk Management, and specifically for Credit Risk Management, began during my university studies , in which I dealt with many mathematical and statistical courses. These gave me the right instruments to understand problems and chances linked to the world of risk. Then, through my degree thesis, about credit risk and new VAR models, I had the chance to start studying all the matters linked to the Basel Accord and its developments.

Until now, I made two very important international experiences, living one year in Barcelona (Spain) and three months in New York City, during an internship programme between “La Sapienza” and Fordham University.
